In an emergency call Triple Zero (000)

13 HEALTH

You can call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) and talk to a registered nurse 24 hours a day. We’ll talk to you about your symptoms and help you find the right care.

We can help you:

  • decide if you need to go to a hospital or see a GP
  • find health care near you, including after hours or home visit services
  • manage your chronic conditions
  • ask for a Ryan's rule clinical review
  • get home sexual health testing—13 HEALTH webtest (chlamydia and gonorrhoea).
  • get advice and support for termination of pregnancy.

You can also talk to a child health nurse between 6:30 am and 11 pm every day. They can give you breastfeeding advice and support as well as other health advice for your children.

When we might contact you

We might contact you if we think you’ve been in contact with a person who’s been diagnosed with an infectious disease. We may also be in touch to remind you about an immunisation or to update you about a waiting list.
