Sixty-six members of Queensland’s Disaster Assistance Response Team made it home in time for Christmas after providing much needed assistance in the aftermath of Vanuatu’s 7.3 magnitude earthquake that caused significant infrastructure collapse and landslides in populated areas.
The team, including QAS paramedics, and members from a number of different agencies, selflessly dropped everything to travel overseas and assist in the response and recovery after the tragedy.
