From turf wars to surviving the Great Depression, Mount Larcom Ambulance Station has overcome several hurdles since its inception to provide continuous ambulance care to the Mount Larcom community and surrounds.
Mount Larcom Ambulance Station is opening its doors for an Open Day this Saturday, inviting the community to enjoy a free celebration to commemorate a century of incredible advancements, perseverance, and state-of-the-art health care for the region.
Past and present QAS staff and Local Ambulance Committee (LAC) members came together to present a number of awards, unveil the centenary plaque and cut the celebratory cake while the community enjoyed a free sausage sizzle, interactive displays and historic memorabilia.
