First Aid Training for Podiatrists

Queensland Ambulance Service has developed the following course specifically for Podiatrists

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) is an accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and a leading provider of first aid training across Queensland.

The QAS has specifically designed a first aid course called 'Allied Professionals - Podiatry' that includes the core first aid competencies required for podiatrists to achieve and maintain their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) registration standards.

The course includes accreditation in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Anaphylaxis Management and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Following completion of the course, attendees will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in the following competencies:

• HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR
• QASFA06 - Operate an Automated External Defibrillator
• QASFAAM - Anaphylaxis Management

Each Statement of Attainment issued by QAS for this course includes a $5 million 'Treatment Risk Liability Insurance', underwritten by the Queensland Government Insurance Fund.

FURTHER INFORMATION ON QAS COURSES FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS

Allied Professionals - Podiatry
Queensland Ambulance Service accredited program is a 3 hour course based on recognition of the professional’s tertiary level training. It utilises the principles of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to deliver training that is concise, practical and relevant to the podiatry industry.

Course Cost: RRP $110.70 - Booked Online: $99.65 Click here to view course schedules

Course Duration: 3 hours

Location: Major centres around Queensland

Attendees: This course is only available to Podiatry Professionals. It is not a general public course.
