Course Description:	This course prepares you to respond to emergency situations by providing you with the skills and knowledge in first aid treatment.
Course Options	Apply First Aid (e-Learning) - 3 hours at home/work Apply First Aid - 2 Days Apply First Aid Workbook - 1 Day
Course Content	responding to and managing an unconscious casualty performing CPR communicating details of the incident respiratory and cardiac emergencies bleeding and shock acute medical emergencies musculoskeletal injuries traumatic injuries to the head, spine, chest, abdomen and pelvis poisons, bites, stings and extremes of temperature
Duration	3 hours in class after completion of DVD ROM 16 hours in class (2 day) 8 hours in class + completion of pre-course workbook
Recommended Recertification Period	Apply First Aid - 3 Years Perform CPR - 12 months

Course Description:	This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in an emergency situation.

Course Description:	If you are working in the electrical industry, this refresher course will provide you with the knowledge in low voltage rescue as well as resuscitation skills in the event of an electrocution incident.

Course Description:	This course prepares you to recognise and respond to life threatening emergencies using basic life support treatment.

Course Description:	This course provides you with the essential knowledge and practical skills to apply first aid and manage casualties in remote situations where arrival of medical assistance may be delayed.

Course Description:	This course prepares you to provide advanced resuscitation techniques and incorporates the use of automatic external defibrillators and advanced oxygen equipment.

Course Description:	This course builds on the Apply First Aid course to include advanced first aid skills and the use of a range of life saving equipment.

Course Description:	This course prepares you to provide automatic external defibrillation techniques to casualties, including CPR, until the arrival of medical assistance.
Course Options	Automated External Defibrillation - 4 hours
Course Content	Casualty assessment and infection control Use of an automatic external defibrillator Performing CPR
Duration	4 hours in class
Recommended Recertification Period	Automated External Defibrillation - 12 months Performing CPR - 12 months
Pre-requisites	Nil

	Course Outcome:	The outcome for this course is to provide participants with knowledge and skills of automatic external defibrillation.
	Recommended Renewal Date:	Ensure you have the most up to date automatic external defibrillation knowledge and skills by attending an automatic external defibrillation course annually.
Duration:	6 hours
Pre-requisite:	Current Senior first aid Statement of Attainment (or equivalent) with current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation Statement of Attainment. Participant must be over 18 years of age or have written parental/guardian consent to attend.
Competencies:	QAS has utilised the unit of competency QASFA06 – Operate an automatic external defibrillator to develop the QAS Automatic external defibrillation course (30122QLD).
Cost:	Normal Cost $141.20 per person, Booked Online $127.10
